Officer Keith Dooms is a 22-year veteran of the Fresno Police Department with a vast amount of knowledge and experience related to firearms and tactics.  Prior to becoming a Police Officer with the city of Fresno, Officer Dooms served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years.  As a Police Officer, Officer Dooms was assigned to District Tactical Teams and various Detective Units and spent much of his career in an undercover/apprehension unit that focused on violent criminals and gang members.  Officer Dooms has been a Rangemaster and Armorer assigned to the Training Unit for 5 years, and holds an Armorer’s certification for nearly every law enforcement weapon platform.  With his partner Rangemaster Garcia and in addition to setting the standard in law enforcement weapons training, our Rangemasters developed and created a POST approved Striker Fired Transition Course that our entire agency is in the process of completing.  As a 2nd phase to our agencies current firearm transition program, our Rangemasters are also developing a Red Dot Pistol Operators course expected to be available soon.
