Officer David Garza is a 31-year veteran of the Fresno Police Department and a seasoned narcotics and undercover officer, spending nearly 20 years working major narcotics. Officer Garza has vast knowledge and experience in surveillance techniques, undercover operations, and inter-jurisdictional narcotic investigations. He has been assigned to the Fresno Police Department’s Training Unit for 4 years and is the lead instructor in several of our advanced officer classes to include tactical communication, racial profiling, arrest & control, as well as our newest courses utilizing virtual reality equipment and de-escalation techniques. In addition to his full-time assignment, Officer David Garza is a certified negotiator and serves as a Crisis Negotiator on a collateral assignment with the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT).
