This intensive 32-hour, hands-on post-blast investigation course is designed for law enforcement investigators, crime scene specialists, and fire investigators. Instruction includes both classroom learning and practical field exercises focused on processing post-blast scenes involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs), as well as case preparation and legal presentation.
Participants will be assigned to multidisciplinary teams composed of both law enforcement and fire personnel to collaboratively investigate and process post-blast scenes. Participants must be sponsored by a department, be physically fit to investigate a scene, and bring all equipment and PPE necessary to conduct a post-blast scene examination.
