The Fresno Police Department’s Regional Training Center offers a variety of classes in all areas of Public Safety. Select from a category below to see what we are currently offering.

This 24 hour class is POST certified to meet the Perishable Skills requirements. The 24 hours are POST Plan IV.
Day 1 (POST Plan IV) consists of First Aid and CPR to meet Title 22 and PC1318(a) standards.
Days 2 & 3 (POST Plan IV) consists of Driving, Firearms, Tactical Communications, Domestic Violence Update and Arrest & Control.
These 3 days, when taken together, satisfy the POST 2 year CPT training requirement.
The Regional Training Center's EVOC is a state of the art driving facility with a pursuit course, skid pad, 25 degree banked turn, a collision avoidance area, PIT area, and driver awareness area.
The specially equipped patrol cars are dedicated to the various driving components to enhance safety while providing the most realistic and beneficial training possible.
The Regional Training Center's range facilities have computer controlled target systems that enhance threat identification and situational-appropriate decision making. There are six 50 yard ranges, and a 200 yard rifle range, complete with a three story sniper tower.
Whether it’s basic firearm instruction or advanced threat assessment and tactical response, we have a class for you.
The Regional Training Center's classrooms are equipped with the latest instructional equipment technology. The RTC has a dedicated mat room for arrest & control/defensive tactics training. Our three story tactical training house is uniquely suited to building searches, use of Simunitions, door breaching, and more!
In addition to POST certified courses that are presented by the Fresno Police Department, the RTC also hosts a variety of outside training vendors allowing for additional training opportunities.
